Mighty Crown x Nike Sportswear Dynasty Premium
Nike will unveil a plethora of high-top sneakers, namely the re-release of the Nike Dynasty. We have already spotted the Black/White colorway and the Black/Red color scheme; however, photos of a collaboration design on the Dynasty has now surfaced.
This particular sneaker is the product of a joint effort between Japanese music group Mighty Crown and Nike Sportswear; it was designed as a tribute to the 15th anniversary of the Mighty Crown Yokohama Reggae Festival. As for its design, this shoe possesses some very unique attributes. For example, it features a stone-studded ankle strap and a double flag logo on the tongue. The color scheme is comprised of black, red and gold. No word on when this shoe will release, yet, click here to view additional photos.

Become Legendary: The Story of Michael Jordan Photos + Video
Yesterday, we informed you of the new Michael Jordan exhibit that has been incorporated into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Now, photos and a video of this latest attraction have now surfaced on the web.

Air Jordan Fusion 13 White/Black-Varsity Red
The Air Jordan Fusion 13 has been drug through the dirt since it first surfaced on the web. It is safe to say this is currently the most hated fusion to appear yet. Could additional, detailed photos do it any justice?
This particular fusion draws inspiration from the Air Jordan 13 White/True Red-Black that MJ played in during his last season with the Chicago Bulls. Michael Jordan Gatorade Limited Edition Commercial
A couple weeks ago, Gatorade held an event to honor Michael Jordan’s induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame in Chicago, IL. At an undisclosed location, a special Michael Jordan display was created from 14,641 Gatorade bottles. Nike Dunk Low CI Hyper Blue/Volt
Earlier this year, Nike unleashed the Nike Air Force 1 “Scream Green” in which many of you thought was one of the better Air Force 1 colorways of 2009. Now, Nike has sort of applied the same color scheme to the Nike Dunk Low CI; however, they have swapped the ’scream green’ color for volt accents. It features a 100% hyper blue upper mixed with a white leather midsole. To add to its electrifying look, this shoe also possesses a volt colored outsole and volt colored shoelaces. Other features include a hyper blue inner lining, a white/volt Nike tag logo (tongue) and a patent leather-like design on the heel panel. Available now at Dunk.

Commonwealth x Reebok Omni Pump Lite Pack
Last week, we showed you the Reebok Reverse Jam Yucatin Collection, and the majority of you were contemplating whether or not you should try to get your hands on it depending on the cost. However, not taking any attention away from the previously mentioned pack, the highly anticipated Commonwealth x Reebok Omni Pump Lite Pack’s release date is now drawing nearer.

An up and coming shoe customizer known as Lazy has just dropped one of their latest custom works. The shoe is called the “Jailbreaker” series 1 and it is a custom Nike Dunk low. Lazy has done 12 pairs of these custom sneakers each will be priced $300 USD. The shoes look pretty nice with the washed out denim and the different used material look. Bathing Ape Ghostbusters
Nobody can ever forget the famous cartoon series Ghostbusters! The ghost hunting men recently collaborate with Bathing Apes to come up with these cool sneakers and a lot more stuffs like shirts and mugs. The shoe features the Ghostbusters logo on the heel of the sneaker as well as on the upper back ankle support with orange and white color combinations. Back to BAPE, the Japanese company that made the classic looking “Bapesta Roadsta 16th” posted recently. If you like that one you’re going to like this one too, introducing the BAPESTA 88 Low, it comes in 4 colorways. It has a more sporty design with the base in white polyester like material and choices of brown/gold, red/gold, black/silver and navysilver leather overlays. Nike SB Toxic Sea Robinâ Dunk Low
Nike SB continues to reload the themed Dunk Lows with the “Toxic Sea Robin†slated to release at NJ Skateshop on August 15th.
Several months back, pictures surfaced of a sample dubbed the “Toxic Avengerâ€, alluding to the ‘84 movie/cult classic, but now we have pictures of the final product which includes minor tweaks like the orange inner lining and Swoosh, and the neon translucent outsole.
No details on availability, but we suspect limited quantities with this one. Check out more detailed pics of the shoe after the jump.

Original Air Yeezy’s for Doernbecher Auction
Just when you thought you had escaped the Nike Air Yeezy madness, 2009’s biggest attention recipient has been announced as a part of the Doernbecher Charity Auction.
You may remember reading about the Air Jordan 6 Doernbecher Freestyle and the story behind its creation. Proceeds from the auction go to help the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. As mentioned above, it’s been announced that the original Kanye West signature shoe will be included in the auction. Two pairs, in fact.
The first is the black and gum pair Kanye wore at the 2008 Grammy Awards that set the internet on fire with anticipation for the eventual 2009 production versions. According to Chi McBride, who was on hand to announce this news with Jordan Brand Creative Director Mark Smith, Kanye had to give them back to Nike after the awards show.?Kanye didn’t even see the second pair of Yeezy’s up to the highest bidder. Like the first pair, they’re all black leather, but these feature an Air Jordan 6 sole, also in all black.
Unless you’re ready to put up your house, car or savings for these super exclusive Nikes, pics will have to do, but rest assured that the absurd amount that is going to be paid for them is going to a great cause.

LimitEDitions x Lacoste Indiana High
In what may seem like an unlikely pairing, Lacoste and Spain’s LimitEDitions have paired up on this Lacoste Indiana High sneaker retro.
The high-top tennis shoe’s white base with pink, teal and purple accents keeps the old-school appeal of the originals, which were nearly identical to this retro version. The original can be seen in the fist picture set below. Another small detail changed for 2009 is the placement of the LimitEDition logo on the tongue under Lacoste’s own logo.
It seems like every brand is bringing back classics as of late, and while Lacoste may not be the first choice in sneakers for many, these pair definitely succeeds at channeling an older era.

Nike Blazer High U White/Varsity Royal-Black
Nike Blazer fans have been taken care within the past couple of weeks. There is a lot to look forward to later this year and in 2010 to say the least. Along with the Nike Blazer Mid ND Club Purple we showed you at the end of August, Nike will also release this Nike Blazer High U during the spring of 2010.
As with previous Blazers we have seen, this particular shoe possesses a very simple color scheme and style. The white leather upper contrasts nicely with the all-black sole. In addition, the enlarged swoosh on the side panel is colored in royal blue. As another added feature, this Blazer also contains a premium black mesh inner lining. New Nike Dunk Hi - Faux Fur & Tweed
Some new Nike Dunks have been released and look perfect for the winter season. The pair seen on the left is the “Pilgrim” Dunk High Shoe. This is exclusively for the ladies. The Nike shoe two different green tones and a faux fur inner lining. I think it is a really great pair of shoes with a simple yet finished look. The second pair is the Tweed Nike Dunk. There has been a lot of tweed being used on recent shoes from Nike including the Nike CB 34. These Dunks feature the same color scheme as that Nike pair. Both pairs are now available at all Nike retailers.

Is it a shoe, or is it a piece of cake, a lemon tart with a cherry on top, say? Well, we do not suggest that you sink your teeth into these to test the reality, but we do believe that the pair looks, well, delicious and yummy.

Air Jordan XII
The Air Jordan 12 was inspired by "Nisshoki", (the Japanese flag) and a 19th century womans' dress boot. Initial public perception was a disappointment. However, featuring gold-plated steel lace loops, embossed lizard skin pattern and zoom air, this model set a new direction in style and technology in shoe design. Though not as light in weight as previous models, the construction and firmness of the shoe is widely considered to be the most durable and sturdy shoes from the Air Jordan line ever made. This shoe known as "OG's' came in 5 colorways and was released on March 13. The shoe was released on December 25 2008 with the Eleven as the final countdown pack. In addition, the Twelve was combined with the Thirteen numbered Jordan to produce the 12.5. As of today, the 11/12 countdown package retails for $400-$550, well above the starting price of $310.

Air Jordan XVII
This shoe comes equipped with Keefer, which held the shoes and a compact disc containing the Air Jordan 17 song. The retail price of the shoe was $200. The defining functional design element of the Air Jordan 17 model which was later replicated on the Air Jordan 18 model was the reinforced midsole which provided a very sturdy and stable chassis for the shoe. The XVII is known as the most expensive Air Jordan model ever produced. They were made in four mid top colors and three lowtop colors.

Harper to beef up Tory contingent in Senate
OTTAWA (Reuters) – Stung by provincial reluctance to hold elections for members of the Senate, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper on Thursday promised to name more Conservatives to Parliament's upper house.
Harper said he will fill nine vacancies, to give his party 46 of the 105 seats in the Senate, which is designed to act as a chamber of "sober second thought" to the elected House of Commons. The main opposition Liberal Party has 53 seats.
"Until senators are elected, this government will ensure that we have in the Senate people who will work hard and will support the elected government of this country, and that includes passing our anti-crime legislation and passing our democratic reforms, which have been blocked in the Senate," he told a news conference in Quebec City.
Harper had previously promised to appoint only elected senators to the upper chamber. But only Alberta has so far held separate elections for senators.
Senators can change or block legislation, but any changes must be reaffirmed by the elected lower house. Traditionally they do not block crucial financial legislation.
Canadian media said one of the new senators would be former National Hockey League coach Jacques Demers, a popular figure whose 2005 biography -- written by someone else -- revealed he was functionally illiterate.
Harper declined to confirm or deny if that was the case, but Demers was present at Thursday's news conference.

Taiwan president seeks to save reputation after storm
CISHAN, Taiwan (Reuters) – Fatigued and disheveled, Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou sat down at a tense town hall meeting this week to face his biggest political challenge yet: easing anti-government rage after a deadly typhoon.
The president, traveling feverishly through the disaster area to rebuild his reputation, squared off against more than 100 mountain dwellers upset that no one stopped the loss of lives, homes and business due to Typhoon Morakot on August 7-9.
"We didn't do things ideally at first," Ma told the meeting
at a temporary shelter for survivors. "Now we are planning the works, from resettlement and jobs to schooling."
His government, pressed by local opposition leaders, has risked its centerpiece achievement of a detente with political rival China by agreeing to let the popular Dalai Lama visit Taiwan next week to comfort victims.
Beijing reviles the Tibetan spiritual leader as a separatist.
China has claimed sovereignty over self-ruled Taiwan since 1949, when Mao Zedong's forces won the Chinese civil war and Chiang Kai-shek's Nationalists (KMT) fled to the island. Since taking office in 2008, Ma has sought peace with China.
Ma went to Cishan, a hub city for rescue work, to convince people in the area he was serious about victim resettlement and reconstruction, which if done smoothly could ease earlier criticism ahead of city and county elections in December.
REPUTATION TIED TO RECONSTRUCTION
"If reconstruction works out well, he might recover his reputation, as Taiwan people forget quickly," said Shane Lee, a political science professor at Chang Jung University in Taiwan.
Ma is vying for favor in a region that traditionally votes against his Nationalist Party (KMT). Local aboriginal groups loyal to the KMT were among the hardest hit by the typhoon.
Many in the six-county disaster zone say the government reacted too slowly or with too little concern as the worst storm in 50 years left destruction across southern Taiwan, killing probably more than 650 people in landslides.
It's too early to tell whether Ma will regain popularity during his four-year term, but his effort to win favor in the disaster zone is shaping up as a long slog.
"We still have relatives in the mud who haven't been dug out," said Savi Huang, 31, a housewife from a partly buried village that was found late. "The government's whole outlook is slow. They don't think we're people."
Merchants who have lost income and property to floodwaters that reached the second storeys of some commercial blocks in Cishan want higher levees and earlier flood warnings.
"We'd protest the government now, but we're too busy cleaning up, so we should protest later," said 22-year tea seller Lin Chieh-cheng, 50, whose shop lost about T$1 million ($30,300) in property damage. "It will just flood here next year, too.
"To some extent, this flood will have an effect on elections," said Lin, pointing to water stains on his walls.
WAITING FOR ACTION
Other victims are more moderate, waiting for action before deciding what to make of Ma. Some say they would vote for him if the government helped them get on with their lives.
"There are some people who won't totally blame (Ma) for the disaster," said Yu Chien-kuo, 42, who fears he lost his house and who has been asked to leave the Cishan shelter by Monday. "It's best if he can start rebuilding now, the quicker the better."
Survivors, some of whose relatives were among the 653 dead or missing, want the government to pay for new housing, keep displaced inhabitants from mud-buried villages together and consult them ahead of major decisions.
Some greeted Ma with angry shouts and banners.
Ma told them the government would fund temporary housing, which will start from next month on military bases and shift to mobile homes. He pledged a new mudslide warning system and land to build new schools for displaced children.
"Victims want us to rebuild and speed is important," said Liu Chin-tien, a KMT party official from the worst-hit county. "It's been pretty fast so far, so people are OK with it."
Taiwan's parliament has approved a special reconstruction budget of up to T$120 billion.
But Ma, who listened more than he talked at the town hall meeting, lacks the charisma to regain popularity, analysts say.
"He's not a strong leader type of person," said George Tsai, a political science professor at Chinese Cultural University in Taipei. "But maybe he can learn."
